Barbershop is a satirical performance with elements of docudrama.

The theme is the struggle of artists with bureaucratic machinery, inspired by the true story of the Czech famous ensemble Cirkus La Putyka.

We pay tribute to the art of the new circus and express support for the La Putyka troupe and all other artistic groups, organizations, or projects that, despite their undeniable artistic quality, have to fight in an endless absurd cycle for the opportunity to bring to our society values that cannot be express in money.

Barbershop combines elements of docudrama with the whole range of expressive means of non-verbal theater (dance, elements of acrobatics, visual theatre, puppets, video art), because our effort is not only to document a certain phenomenon, but above all to evoke an emotional response.
